Honoring Service Through Action, Advocacy, and Community Support
Advocacy is at the core of everything the Coalition does. We work to ensure that veterans in Delaware have a strong and effective voice at the local, state, and federal levels. Our organization actively engages with policymakers, community leaders, and partner organizations to promote policies that protect and expand access to veterans benefits, healthcare services, housing assistance, and employment opportunities. We are committed to advancing practical solutions that address the real challenges facing veterans in throughout the State of Delaware.

Retired Delaware Army National Guard Adjutant General Frank Vavala testified on behalf of HB 1.
Our efforts are grounded in listening. We connect directly with veterans and their families to understand their needs, concerns, and experiences navigating the system. Whether it involves delays in VA healthcare, barriers to mental health services, or gaps in housing and job placement programs, we bring those issues forward to decision-makers and work toward meaningful change. By amplifying the voices of Delaware veterans, we help ensure that policies are informed by those who have served.

We also believe that effective advocacy requires education and collaboration. The Veterans Coalition of Delaware provides resources and guidance to help veterans better understand their rights and available benefits, while also encouraging civic engagement and community involvement. Through strategic partnerships and ongoing outreach, we are building a stronger network of support and accountability. Our goal is simple and clear: to stand up for Delaware veterans, promote fair and effective policies, and help create lasting improvements in the lives of those who have served our country.
